Living finishes will evolve over time.

Before they leave our factory, living finishes are coated with a protective wax coating which will naturally wear, allowing the finish beneath to change. With continued use, the touch points on the hardware reveal the brass underneath, telling the story of how the hardware is used through these unique variations.

  • Unlacquered Brass and Bronze (PBUL)

    Although originally polished, if left untouched the finish will naturally become dull and darken over a length of time. To retain the polished finish regular cleaning with a proprietary brand of metal polish (eg. Autosol or Brasso) will be required.

  • Living Finishes (AB, AGD, AUT, CN, DAB, DCN, MCN, RBMA, SBUL, SMK, TB)

    Our living finishes receive a protective wax coating prior to despatch (excluding RBMA and SBUL). Normal wear and handling will allow the contact areas to reveal the metal below helping to create an aged effect. An occasional application of a good beeswax polish can be applied if required.
