Mandelli finishes
All Mandelli1953 products are made in their own Italian factory using certified Italian brass. The attention to detail on the Mandelli finishes means that their products are built to last a lifetime.
Choosing your Mandelli finish
The brass used in the making of Mandelli handles is forged, turned, die cast, ground, vibrated, polished and satin-finished on their factory premises, as well as being treated with galvanising, metalizing (PVD) and varnishing processes.
Mandelli has developed a vitrified fluxcoating system; a protective coating that enhances the quality of the brass while ensuring a long life. The product goes through a series of preliminary processes, followed by the application of coatings with special resins. The result is excellent resistance to weathering, shock and abrasion, while the natural shine of polished brass remains unchanged. The fluxcoating treatment is available in the following finishes: MBR (matt bronze), MSN (matt satin nickel), AB (antique bronze), 28 (antique chrome).
Another Mandelli finish available from Williams Ironmongery is Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD). This is an additional treatment applied to some Mandelli1953 products which makes them highly resistant to abrasion, corrosion and bleaching, as well as making them suitable for outdoor and public places. The PVD treatment is available on models showing the PVD symbol only on the rose.
