Olivari Time M192 Lever Handle – Doors & Windows

Designer: Alessandro Mendini (2004)
Material: Solid Brass
Typology: Lever handle (door & window versions, DK / cremone style available)

The Time and Space handles follow the strict geometry of a parallelepiped. Composed of metal bars with a square or rectangular section, their parts are assembled according to elementary schemes of juxtaposition. The resulting aesthetics are simple and Euclidean, almost like a construction set.

Description & Design

  • The Time M192 is characterised by a geometric, parallelepiped-inspired form. Designed in 2004 by Alessandro Mendini, it uses metal bars with square or rectangular cross‑sections. These parts are assembled in clean, elementary juxtapositions to create an almost architectural effect.

  • The aesthetic is simple, Euclidean, reminiscent of constructivist sculpture or modernist architecture. Surface shine and proportion are emphasised.

  • It is available both as a door lever handle and as a window handle (DK / cremone versions) under the same design family.

Usage & Mounting Options

  • Doors & Windows: Designed for both, with options tailored to either application. The DK/cremone versions are suitable for window hardware.

  • Rose / Escutcheon Sizes:
    • A round rose (rosette) or escutcheon of 47×10 mm with wood‑screw fixing.
    • A low‑profile (flat / slim) rose or escutcheon of 51×5 mm, fixed via bolts / through‑fastening for a cleaner, lower look.
