ASL 1004
The FSB 1004, dubbed “The Chipperfield”, is a door lever handle designed by acclaimed British architect David Chipperfield for the German manufacturer FSB. It reinterprets the iconic Gropius handle by reversing the traditional form: rather than transitioning from square to round, this design starts with a round neck that transitions into a square grip through a gentle, angled bend. The result is a tactile, architectural detail with a minimalist modernist feel—”unmistakably Chipperfield.”Franz Schneider Brakel GmbH + Co KG+1
Built with geometric clarity in mind, the FSB 1004 embodies modernist principles realized in a functional, elegant, and tactile.
